PyroBot is a computer numerical control (CNC) capable of emulating the art of pyrography without any external help. Images are burned onto the surface with the use of a precise high-powered blue ray laser. The system is built around a 32-bit ARM Cortex M3 STM32F103.
A software application on the PC allows users to specify an image to transfer onto the material of their choice. An touchscreen on PyroBot allows users to stop, start, and reset the machine. Pyrobot is unique in that it does all of this for a little over $700.
